Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands off the east coast of Spain in the Mediterranean Sea, and is a beautiful island of diverse landscapes. It has stunning rugged mountains and dramatic cliffs, more than 70 lovely beaches, picturesque mountain villages, citrus groves and olive terraces.

Orkney is made up of 70 islands - the largest is called The Mainland. Orkney is a magical place with beautiful scenery, a fascinating history and tradition all of its own. The islands have only been under Scottish jurisdiction for about 500 years, before that they were under Norwegian rule.

Paris is my favourite city. It is vibrant with lots of things to see and do. You could take the lift to the top of the Eiffel Tower, take a boat trip on the River Seine, or stroll along the tree-lined Champs Élysées and enjoy a coffee at one of the pavement cafés. A visit to Montmartre is a must - you can have your portrait painted by one of the many artists. Further afield is Disneyland Paris, or you might want to visit the Château de Versailles just 12 miles from the city centre.

The photo on the left was taken at Rouken Glen around Christmas time 2000 after a heavy fall of snow, it isn't always necessary to travel far to find lovely scenery.
